nice! Glad to hear someone had the sense to prevent it from being melted down. The high scrap prices these days have people doing stupid things!
Are you going to restore it?

Thanks guys!!! I probably will not restore it this year. It is hard to believe that the 7hp ran great, with no smoke or anything. It had 32" drag slicks on the back and some go-cart tires on the front when I got it, but I sold the slicks to my brother which made my purchase price $90......but that is a small price to know that I saved another one. Kind of like the parable of the man walking on the seashore, where he saw all of the helpless starfish washed upon shore and he bagan picking them up and tossing them back into the ocean. Another man told him, "What are you doing? You can't possibly make a difference and save them all!" Whereupon the man reach down, grabbed another one, threw it back into the ocean and turned to the other man and said, "I made a difference to that one!". Guess it does make a person feel good when you save each one!!!
Here are some old shots of it.....luckily, the guy I bought it off of threw in the rear ags with the deal!! Cub Cadet 123

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
