A guy My dad knows called me and had me come out to look at this tractor. He found it in the woods on some land he bought. He is kicking around selling it but I have no idea what it is. There were no markings that I could find. I think it has a mag18-20 on it. I don't think it is the bigger 23 hp but it could be as I don't really know how to tell them apart. It looks pretty heavy duty.

I think that might be a Farm King garden tractor.

I have been looking at the farm king, power king, economy tractors and this is similar but different. The front frame and the way the axle is , is different as is the lift arm position lock radius.

Might it be homemade? Ive seen several vintage articles with plans to make garden tractors, some in old copies of popular mechanics, or mother earth news... ?? I wouldn't think anything that old "looking" would come with a mag 18-20 from the factory.. interesting !

I think it is a home made unit myself. The c-channel frame has evenly spaced holes in it. Looks like some kind of frame work you would see in a factory.

I agree, with Jeff. I believe, it may be a homemade tractor. I like it though!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
