Contest
Is their a contest around that you can enter for the worst trunion in the world. If so I could possibly win.Any ways I was driving my 129 down to my shed with my grader blade on the back and all at once it lunged and I was riding a wheelie.I got it to stop by pulling the control lever in reverse and drove it back to the house SLOWLY I knew what it was but I was hoping it wasn`t.So I pulled the fender pan and found this

good thing you stayed on! So is this going to be a fix before winter, or a winter project turning into a restoration?

Sorry to hear that about your cub, but on a better side of it--I'm glad that you, an experienced rider was on it and knew how to control it, instead of someone else who might have gotten hurt!! After you fix that one, it will last for many years and you will move forward with confidence.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
