Hot S/G
My 129 looks to be over charging ...S/G case gets hot to touch after only several minuets of run time. Amp gauge normal at start up, then pegs at 1/2
throttle. I'm getting about 15 VDC then, 12.5V with motor off . Where should one start the diagnosis ? |

I would suggest you start at the Voltage Regulator.

One quick question Mr B . Sitting on the machine facing forward , is + on
left or right on the amp guage ? Stock 129 ..... |

Thanks Matt ..reason I ask is , in the wiring diagrams posted here it shows
it on left and on the the right . It's in our tech section . Headlight wiring shows one way .. non option wiring on left . Just double checking . |

The wiring diagram(s) are NOT an indication of terminal orientation. The Amp gauge will have markings on the back of the gauge to determine the correct polarity. This what you should go by.
