Default Is it a 1650?

Guys time to start a new thread on this. I'll remove the post later tonight to give you a chance to move the info to a new thread.

I am thinking $550 - $600 if it is in good shape. Apparently the battery is dead, so I will be taking a charged battery with me. I've attached some lo-res photos from the ad.

I don't see headlights, I am almost postive 1450's and 1650's came with headlights and both did come with Hydro lifts, not mechanical lifts. Call and ask him for the serial number located either at the back of the rear end or on the left side of the frame above where your foot would rest. We can tell by that number what it is. We will need the complete number.

I plan to look at it in any case because it is the only CC I have found in decent shape for the last couple of months. I'll check the S/N as well as the engine. Should be a Kohler K341AQS as nearly as I can tell. The 1250s had a K301AQS, according to the owner's manual I downloaded.

Thanks for the observation and the advice!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
