I couldn't tell ya how it happened, but it did. I was also just guessing on the height. I do know that about 20 miles from my house there is a sign that points down a dirt road to for "The Highest Place in Indiana". It's a government sign. I just checked.. We're 810' above sea level.

Someone must have moved that sign to northern Indiana. Hoosier Hill is the highest point in Indiana. It is a little over 1200 ft and is in Wayne Co.

I googled after my post and agree with your data... That doesn't change the location of the sign. I believe its on US 24 just ewst of Ohio.

I'm wondering if there isn't some crazy tall gravel equipment or something down that road? The wiki stuff is all for "natural" stuff....

I do know, and have seen personally, the birth place for, and I quote "The first white man" born in Wells county!!! Thats a bit of a surprising memorial to see in these modern times. IN FTW!

That is close to where I grew up in Monroeville. I lived there for my first 23 years. Then Auburn for 4 years and now in southeast IN.

if my memory serves me correct. Fort Wayne is Know as the Summit City due the fact it was the highest point on the Erie Canal. has nothing to do with over all earth type elevations. Just as Chicago is the windy city even know there are other city that record more wind than Chicago.

Hey everybody, just signed up. I live in New Carlisle,IN. Just recently got a Cub 126 with QA42 snowblower. Got it to replace my old Roper 10-32 snowblower, the gear box blew into 3 pieces after a rock got stuck in auger. Shear bolts didn't shear. Tried my best to find replacement parts but finally gave up. It was a real good old machine,it served me well. I'm thinking that having the Roper being destroyed was a blessing in disguise. I'm finding out what Cubs are all about,and I'm liking it. I'm sick of all the new Chinese machines out there. I try to buy American whenever I can, but it is hard. I like old machines. They were built to last,as you all already know. Looking forward to sharing my newfound appreciation of International Cub Cadets with everyone.
