Very sweet! I really like that look.
Allen your 100 could look just like that. Keep in mind I suggested it before the NC pd last year. |

That's true, Duke, but I liked the look of just two tires on the back for plowing...lol.

Someday I'd like to maybe repaint this one. Believe it or not we painted this with a wagner power painter. The yellow is some sort of construction or school bus yellow from rural king. The motor was already black so we just spray painted it black again. At the time we did not know anything about Cub Cadets or their history, and were not concerned with originality. I have an original oil bath cleaner, fenders, and a decal set that I'd like to put on this one at some point. This project was actually a warm up for painting a IH 656, which would be painted with a real spray gun, no more electric power painters. We actually started rigging up a a hyd pump that mounted in place of the mule drive and would be driven by a belt from the front pulley. We wanted to put a cylinder on the back for the 3pt. That project never materialized.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
