Agreed. I think I'm going to make a change to how I park.

Tension springs may break in tension but compression springs (like the valve springs in auto engines) break in compression (no tension applied) and I suppose torsion springs by torsion. Except springs are subject to fatigue failure after so many load/unload cycles and I think fracture/separation can occur during the sudden unloading of a spring. My thoughts FWIW.

Weather they are compressed or stretched... Any movement of this type of spring other than its relaxed state is likely when it will break. Compression is just the opposite force of tension. Still... there is force.

Nothing. I was too busy with the Ford's.

Went to end of the driveway to get the trash can. Taking my three helpers made it a bit more complicated.

New front hubs and wheels for my Cub
I reworked the front spindles on my 3185 and installed 4on4 trailer hubs. Then bought custom 8" front rims. I like the look and the extra front end strength.

Planting Grass
I used the GTX2100 and 6284 to do a bit of yard work. The loader on the 6284 moved the dirt. The grader behind the GTX2100 leveled the ground.

I pulled the herd outside to get some fresh air while I was sweeping their bay out. Ignore the red one, it snuck into the picture. It’s going to be getting a new home soon, possibly tomorrow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
