Yes Ken. Every year the mule deer just mow the greenery right down to the stems right after the first couple of hard frosts, usually early September. One day its lush and green, the next week it's all gone. I don't deer hunt until November, so they can eat all they want.

Put together the driveshaft that I rebuild the engine side of. All new disks and bushings/bearings. New charge pump seal and o-ring. Excited to finally try out this 1914!

Plowed the back garden with the 982 the other day. Gotta love that fuel sucking Onan for a powerhouse! Do those Firestone 23*'s make her butt look big?

Looks great, nice straight furrows. What are you plowing under? Was that grass or a crop for nitrogen?

Most definitely makes her but look big. But quite attractive as well.

Finished my granddaughters 124. Now to redo the mower deck. I also got the creeper put in my 108 and drove around a little bit. I don’t have or didn’t get the correct shift lever so trying to decide on how to get the cover on without hacking it up. Maybe this week I will get all 7 running tractors out for a picture. And it looks better out in the sun and with the wheel weights on it.

As per Tractor Data the 982 had 26x12x12 rims. I have an 1872 with Ags 26x12x12"s on JD wheels an inch and a half more offset, (3 inches total) now there is butt to see.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
