Here's a pic of the headlights that are on my tractor. I need the plug or connector that would be on the wire end and plug into these lights.

Also, Im in need of the tail lights. I have the wires and plugs on the end of the wires back there. I have the lenses as well, just no bulbs and no place to plug the wires up. Ive looked around the net and for some reason, Im having a hard time locating the proper part numbers for the pieces Im looking for. I assume the tail lights I need look something similar to the headlight pic I posted.

Are the grease zerks on the deck spindles not replaceable? Im missing one. Its a 54" GT deck. I checked partstree looking for a part number, hoping to find the size so I can pick one up at the local hardware but I cant find anything. Checked the other spindles and the zerks are round, no where to put a wrench on them. Are they a press fit maybe? Cleaned up the hole with the missing zerk and it dosnt really look threaded. Id have to have to buy a new spindle down the road so I need to get this fixed.

Post a pic of the style head lights that you have. I probably have a set of the connectors from some old wiring harness's in my "Save it, you may need it" pile.

Edit: didn't see the pic of the head light bulb before I posted. I think I do have what you need. I'll check when I go to the shop and get back to you.

Press in, Take the spindle apart, drill and tap it for a screw in fitting, make sure you get the chips cleaned out before you put it back together. Pump some grease through then reassemble.

Thanks. I got a PM from another member who is checking for me also. Hopefully one of you have what I need. I don't ever intend to mow after dark but I could definitely see myself out pushing snow after dark in the winter. Regardless, I want everything to work like it should.

I had a feeling you were gonna say that. I put the deck back together yesterday hoping I could just pop a new zerk in the spindle. Probably not a bad idea anyhow since I have no clue how long the zerk has been missing. The plus is that the hole was plugged with grease so everything should be okay.

I have the headlight plugs/ harness. I can cut off what you need and ship it to you. $10.00 shipped. I'll leave you plenty of wire. PM me if you want them, they are still part of a harness from a 2182.

Thanks so much for the help Sam and thanks for taking the time to look for the parts I need. Ive been talking to Lew via PM since last night and he has the plugs and the tail light parts Im missing so Ill get all of it from him. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

I had some time today to pull the seat and fender pan off again along with the gas tank and got everything power washed. Its in the sun drying now. Getting ready to put it back together and then pull the wheels so I can put my new tires on. I was surprised once I got all the crud blown off of it that's its actually pretty solid. The only real rust is on the foot rests. Ill get that taken care of later this summer when I have more time. Hoping to get time tomorrow to get back into the deck and get the spindle fixed up so I can grease it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
