Finished up replacing a seized Duel Spool Valve Assembly with a used one. Prior to that, replaced rear main seal on the KT-17 SII. Just when I thought I was home free, I noticed the cork gasket leaking. Now that will have to wait for warmer weather.
This one owner 782 that I purchased last fall from a farm I estimate was built in March 1981 based on the tag, just prior to IH shuttering the Louisville plant. The build quality compared to CCC machines (I have 3) is noticeably better, from welds to how the sheet metal fits together to how the wiring harness is run and secured. This 43 year old machine is still kicking - a testament to IH over engineering and over building the equipment that they took so much pride in crafting. What today lasts that long?

I got my 126, 149, 1810, and 1450 running this weekend and took them each for a ride. I haven’t used any of them since October, the 1810 was sitting even longer. The 126 and 149 are ready to go to cut grass, which I will probably need to do in the next week or two. I might put the mower deck back on the 1810 too, but I have to replace a spindle first.

I changed the condenser on the Original pull start. Lot of work but it had to be done.

I finished re-installing the engine for my new to me 1450. I took off the engine for ISO mounts and found out it wasn't mounted on the left hand side at all. Drilled out and replaced the hardware, did the cradle mount mod and have it back together. Its running again but its a little rough north of 75% throttle, I'm thinking about doing valve clearance, points and timing before I put it though its paces this summer. Any other recommendations for a tune up are appreciated.
I'm also open to suggestions for tire chains for ag tires (for winter) and preferred front tires for yard work and snow. I'm hoping to use this machine to drag a little box scraper, run its rototiller, snow duty in the winter and it came with a cool little custom scoop/loader that i'd love to get working on it.

Would love to see pics of that little loader you mention.
I'd probably look at the carb before I'd get too far down the path looking for that last 25%
