So..... whatcha gonna do with it? No PTO work, obviously... Looks like a rear attachment machine. You need one of those wheel hay rakes for yards. That'd be a cool job. Then make you a lawn sweeper that looks like a round baler, like the one on here. Then you can "rake" and "bale". LOL!

No oil pan yet?
Not yet, hopefully early next week.
No idea what I needed, wanted, had to have one of these for. Oh wait.... I remember now. I didn't have one
Did figure it would work good with a sweeper being it turns sharp

I did think of a PTO device that would be perfect for a trike and you'd probably have the only one on the planet... of course you'd have to build it...

Belly-mount string trimmer. As sharp as that will turn it would be SWEET for fences and you'd never have to pull start a weeder again! Might have to go with something more durable than a string though since you couldn't "bop" the head.

Good thought, but our fences are all gone when we got rid of the beef cattle. I do have the three point with spring assist in case I have an itch that needs to be scratched.

Too bad it isn't a gear drive. Then you coulda put a rear PTO on it and made a rear sickle bar mower!

What other uses could we find......

A belly mounted grader blade would be cool if you have a gravel drive.

I have this desperate need to make the PTO functional (in my own mind... with someone elses tractor)... It just seems like pulling something isn't enough.

It's pretty non-agricultural, but it would be pretty slick to make a mobile repair attachment for it. Generator on one side and air compressor on the other. Even better a gen-set welder would be a step into legendary.

You have the real estate now to keep it within the rear wheel width... Drive up, clamp on, and away you go.

The string trim mowers don't use "bop" heads they just use a fixed length heavy string that snaps or threads into the head. My Husqvarna string mower has a system where you fold the sting in half and push it through a slot and hook it over a tab, pull until it bottoms out and you're done. I cut what I think I need for the job, in pairs, from a roll and stick them in my pocket (securely, so as not to drop them all over the place... don't ask why I say that) and put them on the head once I've hit the fence wire or posts enough times. Can change them both in about 30 seconds.

I'm thinking it's done enough for a couple pictures. Was a fun little project, fought me all the way. But I showed that sucker
Looking forward to a ride tomorrow. Unfortunately it's got a little drip out the back end. I thought I got them all, but missed something, someplace.
Don't know if the pipe is staying on yet or not.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
