Sawdust, you are a machine
Looks great, but I too am not in like with the yellow grill. Maybe it will grow on you, time will tell.

Still tying up loose ends. Ran the tractor for about 15-20 minutes, then re-torqued the head after it cooled. Repainted the grill. Mounted the mule drive with new idler pulleys and the deck lift frame.
I have to say, the trunnion repair and the new springs resulted in the tractor maintaining speed uphill and down without touching the speed lever. This is the best running hydro I have now. I'll have to do this to my other tractors now! Pulled my best 42 inch deck out and cleaned it up. Was painted a couple years ago, so it's in really nice shape. It's actually a NOS deck that I bought from the local IH dealer a couple years ago,and I put all new spindles and bearings in it so the deck is excellent. Only need to fit it up and put a PTO belt on it. Hope I have one that fits at this point (have quite a few on hand--probably 10 different belts--so I should be able to find one that fits.) Some pictures outside tomorrow if I get a chance.

I'll have to haul it up to Northern Virginia for them, and being on vacation until Jan 6, it seems like a good time to do it. And Muzzy, my wife is in the market for a labra-doodle, so if you can fetch and don't mind Pedigree for dinner, we might be able to work something out!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
