Nice build. I read the thread but I may have missed it. How long are the extensions that you added to the rear of the frame? What size tires did you put on?
I'm new to the Cub Cadets and not familiar with the Supers. |

1650 what an awesome platform to build a super on. Great job Jed. That is one tough looking cub.
I voted for red cause I'd love to see a red super, but that yellow is looking good so far.

Just read this through, and now NEED to see some more! Yes, life does get in the way. But good things do sometimes come to those willing to wait, and work. Great project . Keep at it, as you can.
Inspired some projects on my 149, when life and money get lined up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
