Congrats on the thunder chicken

turkey hunting is a blast, we look forward to it each spring.
What is that iron your holding? From here it looks like a rifle with muzzle break.

The rifle is an old heavy barreled Sako 222. It was originally built for bench rest competition but Eric and I both have one we use for turkeys in the fall. The guy with Eric is not really me it is just some old guy we stuck in for me.

WOW! We would get thrown in jail if we used that here in WI for turkey hunting. No rifles here in WI for turkeys.

Nik, if you look you will see that is not a Tom it's a hen, and I also had a camo coat on when I got this one.

Todd, here in PA we are allowed to use them. That and my Grandfather gave us that 222 so it really means a lot to me to use these Sako's.

Rage broad heads.

3 of my friends have switched to & swear by them. I've personally seen the results on about 10 deer & they are super. Deer get hit any where near a vital & they are toast.

We use the Grim Reaper broad heads and couldn't be happier. Nothing short of amazing! Picture says it all!
This is a buck I shot a few years ago, he went 30 yards and flipped over from a double lung shot. Shot many a deer with them and never failed. Always opened and fly like a field point.

It happens Nik.
I've used the Grim Reaper on deer, coon, turkey and my bear. I have tried many, many broadheads over the years in my crossbow, and they are the only one's I found that fly true each and every shot. No drift. Just like a field point, where other broadheads I've tried you have to tune the bow for the head your hunting with. Practice with field points, then switch to a practice broadhead, not these.
It is hard to find the perfect broadhead, but they are close. Three friends of mine also use them, and we never lost an animal. Shoot true every time.
Three of us use the 1 3/4" cut, and one the 1 1/4" because of the lighter pounds he's pulling. But their still only as good as the person shooting, practice, practice.
