I like this stuff to polish plastic. http://www.novuspolish.com/

used to use it on the lexan windshield for my race car. I've used it on the plastic head light covers on cars etc.

I think the lens on them is plastic.
Try some toothpaste on a soft cloth, or maybe some chrome cleaner or polishing compound. That's what I have used on tail light lenses anyway w/fair results.

SDD, don't forget to check the end play on the cam. I think that is what causes the "Kohler Knock" in these engines.

I have some fiberglass polishing compound that I use on my boat. It works wonders on plastic headlight lenses on the cars, as well. I might try a bit on the hour meter. It does make the dash look bad, doesn't it?

yes It does,if they are yellow from the UV rays that does not come out but it does clear it up enough to see the face again.

Why not fine a nice one?

There's been a couple on ebay, I got one for the 800. The last one went for 19 or so but most I've seen are very cloudy. I got a nice one but it was spendy. That one seems nice Lew.
