So, you gonna get a good used rockshaft assembly? Might be better than salvaging what you have there. Certainly a lot of work to drive that pin out--thinking if you had a good used setup, you could cut the old one into a couple pcs with a sawzall. Here is how I did it, used something big to brace the frame--go to pic of the tractor with he scrape blade.

Just figured it's low pressure, and there wouldn't be an issue. I had a hose made at Napa today for the 782, but they used hydraulic hose, and it's stiffer than a teenage boy in the girls locker room.
Plus on the 782, the hard lines had the threaded connections still intact, but this one was already "worked on" if you smell what I'm stepping in?

This is the stuff I would use if it was my tractor.
These are the fittings, scroll down till you get to the socketless fittings

This is the hose. My guess is you probably need dash 6 size but without know the size of your existing fittings I can't be sure

Okay, thanks for the info Sam.
But back to my question. "Why, you don't like the hose, or clamps, or you thinking it'll leak." Just trying to save a few bucks, but still have it work as should.

Todd I'm concerned that using fuel hose for hot engine oil may lead to a hose failure. The stuff I listed is rated for 300 degree oil and 250 psi. You may be able to push the hose over the existing metal lines that come from the engine and clamp the hose. What is the OD of the metal lines?

In the house now, I'll check tomorrow. All I know is I told the Napa dude what I was using it for, and this is what he gave me. Don't mean it's right though.
Well I got the rockshaft out today. No, I didn't forget a pin, or bolt, it was just seized. After soaking since yesterday in PB, some BFH action, and patients if finally gave up.
Cut out the shot pins, made a couple new ones out of bolts, cut to length, just have to drill the holes and weld them in. Good to go!

Pretty sure the oil lines are 5/16 Sam. The newer ones that two piece are AN-5 fittings.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
