As a big IH Cub Cadet fan, I say your Original is a show stopper! Very nice, and I'am glad to see it!

Default Original 1980 682 Cub

Here is the cub cadet that my dad bought new in 1980. Still has the original paint. A few dings and scrapes here and there, but it gets polished at least 2x a year. Deck is still in great shape. It's retired to lazy duty until I move out and have to mow my own lawn in the near future.

Was that pinstriping stock? And what's it say above the Cub Cadet? I'm not all that familiar with the reds.

Sweet pic! Nothing like a family owned tractor!

Pin striping not stock, but a nice touch. Above Cub Cadet appears to be a name, old stock car racing style.

Default Me my son and our 1100

1100.jpg This is the 1100 I was able bring home for free all it needed was a starter gear and battery which I promptly fixed so I could drive it. Never had seen one before but a guy in my town actually mows with one and i never knew it and his motor went bad so he wanted to buy the whole thing from me to use and keep his old one for parts. glad it went to a good home, but my little boy sure liked riding on it!!!!

Nice cubs Matt!! Evil Monkey sounds like a fitting name for a puller that looks that bad! (bad in a good way of course!!)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
