And Muzzy, my wife is in the market for a labra-doodle, so if you can fetch and don't mind Pedigree for dinner, we might be able to work something out! [/QUOTE]
Dad, that's the best offer I've had all week. |

Got the deck fitted up and working. Had to go buy a 1/2 x 85 inch belt. The deck/mower belt table says an 81 inch belt would fit, but it was several inches short. Could not find a 3/8 x 85 belt, but the 1/2 in belt seems to fit OK.
Next step is to fit up the snow blade, but I'll wait unit I can show my son in law how to remove the mower and install the blade. I'll have to make a lift rod, but I have a piece of 1/2 inch steel rod so that will be straightforward to fashion a new one.

Thanks, JC. Schultz has adjusted pretty well, I think. But we all miss Major. Have not gotten another dog yet, but wife is looking.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
