Put one of the bumpers on today, had to elongate one of the bolt holes with the die grinder just a bit. Otherwise looks pretty good. I checked both bumpers and both would need to have the hole elongated so I'm not sure if the issue is with this tractor or if it's a problem with the bumpers. The other 2182 won't be out for a few days because I have another Cub on the lift at the moment. Haven't decided if I'm going to weld the upper bar on or not. If I do it will need a little work with the die grinder to fish mouth the ends so that it will fit better.

I got mine welded up today and got it primed. I leaned the top bar out to match the angle of the nose of the tractor. Looks pretty good! Will add some color tomorrow and get I bolted up in a few days.

This is what I had hoped the bumper looked like. This is Cub123's Super. Look at post # 30.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...t=21398&page=2 To me the main bumper bar should sit level or in line with the frame. Maybe I'm being to picky.

Randy
They are both the same as far as the angle is concerned. They are fine with me, they look like if I hit something the plastic will be saved. This is not a show tractor, it's a worker.

like i said i need one of those lifts you have. i built them on the front of the 1440 i have here i jacked the front end up and put stands under so it looks like its popping a wheelie that might explain the angle thing. i have no problem redoing and shipping you two more if you like. i have since built a jig to make them in as for the bolt holes sorry this 1440 must be tweaked or something. i feel like i need to make this right let me know

Will you please just relax, I'm OK with them. It may be your 1440 or my 2182, who knows. All I care about is not busting the plastic. Figure if I hit something hard enough to get past your bumper and bust the plastic I'll be laying on the hood. Oh yeah that will be busted so I guess I'll be on top of the engine. Thinking about that my guess is I will be in pain.

laying on the hood makes me giggle i adapted a (cough) john deere blade to my super and it has a neat little latch lock thing on it to lock the blade. rite beside this lock is a sticker that says something to the effect of "only use lock for the slowest grading and plowing" needless to say i ignored this little sticker once (and i mean once) had it locked and managed to find a pine tree root while plowing snow i still have the face print/smudge on the windshield. wife wants to clean it off but i said leave it as its a constant reminder of "HEY STUPID THAT DECAL IS THERE FOR A REASON" im guessing someone else ate glass or the hood either way i learned the hard way.

Looks good in yellow. How did the bolt holes line up on your bumper?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
