went out to do some digging with the brinly cultivator on my 100 and relized gas was pouring out the carb. so when i was limping it back to the shop i heard a bang and looked back and my cultivator was dragging on the concrete. so after some tinkering, i put a different float in the carb cuz the old one was filled with gas and the 3pt just came loose from the rock shaft. so the 100 is all good now.

I got my hood, front grill, and seat brackets mounted today. Also painted the seat pan that's waiting on my new cushion to get delivered. Got my headlights wired up and working. Man are they bright! So got a lot completed, now just waiting on the last few parts to arrive so I can finally get her done.

Well I got the stator for the 1250 ordered, so while waiting on that, I figured I would see how far the battery would let me mow before it would crap out and kill the mower. I got about 4/5ths of my yard finished, just a bit over an acre, before the mower started spitting, cutting out and just acting bad in general. So I had to pull the deck and mule drive off and switch everything over to the 128. Bought a brand new PTO belt for the 44A deck today and the belt guide showed the same number for the 128 and the 1250. I went ahead and put the new belt on the 128 but it seems to be an inch or two too long, I have the adjustment set right, but the adjusting bolt on the mule drive is maxed out getting it to that point. It worked alright but could tell it needed to be tighter.
Going to start pulling the 1250 apart this week and get the motor out and ready for the replacement stator. That was about all I got done today, along with having the Central A/C fixed in the house. A whole story in itself. May have to sell the 1250 and tiller to help defer the repair costs. Still giving that some consideration tonight. Anyway, that's enough for one day.

I'm an idiot!
I never cease to amaze myself with how stupid I can be sometimes. So I finally got the 1450 back together to take it out on a test drive. So of course I'm having such a good time that it runs out of gas! Fortunately I had installed an inline fuel filter, which is completely trashed now. But it saved me from rebuilding the carb. The downside is that now it won't start. So tomorrow I'll remove and clean the gas tank, and install a new filter.

Painted the deck for the 169 this week. Decided to rebuild the P.T.O. while i was at it.
Took a ride down to Chris Westfall's (Cub Classics) and bought a P.T.O. rebuild kit, and a early style lever. I have been wanting to switch from the pto with the brake to the early style with just the wear button. Chris had everything i needed and i am back up and running. Thank again Chris |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
