Todd, great job on saving another one. That one had to try your patience.

Todd you definitely took the road less traveled on this one. Congrats on another job well done!

Thanks guys.
I'll think about that offer Jon... NOPE, I'll keep this one.
Yeah, there were a few days I wished it stayed right where it was instead of coming home with me. I've always had a problem leaving them after going to look at em'.
Kinda like "just going to look" at a puppy.

A long road for sure, but you ended with a nice tractor. As for "just going to look" I have the same results you do usually!

Well now it's peeing in my Cheerios. Went to start it this morning, now it won't run without the choke being out. So back in the shop tomorrow, OR drain all the fluid out, and push it down the hill into the pond for a fish crib.

Nope, wasn't that easy. I removed the carb and did a good cleaning, and Shazam, it runs like a fine Swiss watch. Easy fix, guess some dirty got in it. So the fish will have to wait for another troubled tractor.

Nice job on the 1811.

How do you like those "skinny" tires on the back? Can you tell much difference?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
