Thanks everyone for the kind words, now it's of to kill Bambi and it's mother. Them fawns make the best burger, nice and sweet.
And the freezer will be full for anothor year. We have friends coming over next week, and the following to help us reduce our doe population. They are eating themselves out of house and home, no brows left to sustain an over population throughout the winter around here. I started to try and convince my neighbors that things were getting out of hand back years ago, that if the population was not kept in check, we would have hell to pay for not shooting the does. Now try and bring them back down to a managable number ain't happening They wonder why our bucks racks are getting smaller, and the weights have went down drastically. To many deer the habitat can't support, the bucks antlers suffer because all the nutrition they take in goes to just keep them alive, let alone grow a good set of antlers. The does suffer to. They end up being bread so late, that the fawns are born late in the spring, that by the time winter rolls around their already behind the 8 ball, so if they don't starve because their the weakest, they sure will become a meal for a yote, not good. OK, off my soap box for tonight.

Not a soapbox.
Facts are facts, most are ignorant of the true nature of the way it is & consequences of nature. Those people are just plain ignorant. Not a slanderous slam, they just don't understand. NIK, Gotta cull dem'dere does. Oh, yotes, shoot'em all.

Great you took this with a cross bow during gun season too! WOW! I have never tried calling one in. You have some good skills! Good luck filling the freezer! Regards, Chris

Went to Missouri for my annual shootin & hunting trip, We bagged 3, 2 YOUNG does & a forkie 4 point.Saw a HUGE 10 point but was walking out to my spot & duhhhhhhh, moment.
Here's 2 of them. Picture is a bit mis-leading but that buck was 35lbs. heavier than the doe. All in all it was a GREAT trip, saw mucho turkey's, 1 Bobcat, & 4 VERMIN yote's. The highlight was watching the Bobcat 40yds., off mousing the edge of the woods for about 15min. That was a thrill. Nik,

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
