My whole collection is wide frames now with just a couple of exceptions. I would of put the blower on the 169 but I don't have a pto on it since its my plow tractor and I didn't want to kill the fenders for the cab. So im just gunna keep the 149 as a snow only tractor its gunna sit like it it is year round so I don't have to mess with putting the snow stuff on it

Thanks to ALL of you for the recent photos.. Man those rigs look nice. I have a VERY long driveway so I guess since I'm blessed with a bunch of tractors (I got them by accident!) I guess I need to get one of them set up with a blade.
Anyone plowing with an O? John

I finally got the 149 ready for snow yesterday. based on what I have read here I switched to the turfs and chains. I also made an extension on the lift arm to increase the lift of the blade and cut a length of chain so it would float nicely. I also made a rigid lift arm out of an old bed frame. I am still hoping to get a QA42A. Waiting for a deal to pan out.

Nope no snow here in Galax, 70 and sunny today, tee shirt weather. Just the way I like it. Gonna take the Night Rod out for a spin tomorow. You can keep the snow.

I had one good one and the other is a $1.98 Walmart special. Better than paying those inflated "collector" prices for the "correct" one.

Thanks. This 149 has come a long way since I brought it home the day after last Christmas. It was sold as a "parts" tractor and is now a totally reliable 4 season work horse.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
