So, here is my last ride with the 1450 before loading it up and driving to DeKalb, IL to it's new home. Since I am from there, I'll deliver it after Thanksgiving dinner with family.

Anyway, we'll still have our 782 to restore for 4H and eventually build up to a fun rig to look at, or maybe plow gardens!

Here is a pick after the final ride, tilling my new garden in town. I'll be cutting down that tree on the right this winter. It's funny that my total land in town, 1/4 acre, is smaller that what my garden was on the acreage!

The second picture is the two tractors banished to the corner. The 782 was slapped back together before the move. Now that I sold the 1450, I might have to get the 782 running for the snow blower! For now, my 3 sons and shovels will move the snow.

I'll look forward to catching up with all of you again as the project progresses!

Default Cub Cadet RS

This was a Cub Cadet 129 and is now for all practical purposes a 128, I call it an RS model since I made it something different than a regular Cub. I purchased this a few years ago after wanting one since I drove my fathers Cub as a kid and rebuilt it to be new and improved and to meet my uses. There are many other changes planned. Some of what is done is the custom brakes that I made to fit a earlier rear end, I am currently working on making this a hydraulic dual brake setup. I will post many of my other changes as I continue to participate in this great community of people at onlycubcadets.net. I am a new participant but I have been reading from this site for about two years.

Default 128rs

Fozzy,
Super sweet 128RS, I love the bling on the brakes! Nice detailed work!

IAfarmer,
Little sad there delivering one of your tractors tomorrow. Sounds like you have a project planned for the 782.

Regards,
Chris

Very nice brakes! When showing that tractor, you'll have to pull the wheels!

Default Possible tractor pull champion?

It seemed sort of forlorn, and was less than the price of a used self propelled mower. $85 Either the starter switch or safety or solenoid need attention,
We will use it on a property we manage
It has a cast iron front axle, and zerk fittings out the yazoo.
When even little entry level stuff was made to last

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
