Friday, I built an engine stand that bolts to my work bench and rotates to make working on my engines much easier. It bolts to the engine using the 2 holes where the starter/ generator mounts. I'll try to get some pics of it Monday.
Today, I removed what was left of the vinyl and foam from my 126's seat and sandblasted the pan. It's cracked around the bolt holes so I've got to fix that. My friend's dad does car interiors so I'm going to see what he'd charge to recover it. Then, I pulled the head and oil pan off of the K301 from the 126 to check it out. The head gasket was not leaking and the cylinder walls look good. There was a little bit of carbon on the head and block so I cleaned that up. The rod is tight with no play in it but the balance gears were getting a little loose so I removed them before they decide to remove themselves through the side of the block. I've heard of guys busting the top balance gear to get it out but thought it seemed a little sketchy till I tried it. I put a punch on the gear where the material is thinnest and didn't have to hit it hard at all and the gear busted into 6 pieces. It's no wonder they come apart and ventilate a block if they're that weak. Busting the gear is much quicker and easier than removing the crank to get it out. I pulled off the PTO clutch to replace it. It looks like someone tried to remove it with a hammer without taking out the set screws first. I've got another clutch with a rebuild kit to go back on.

I don't have pics yet, but i bought a Snapper brand rear cat 0 pto driven tiller for my 982. Price was too cheap to turn down. I just haven't decided on what I want to do with it. Not sure if I want to keep it or sell/trade it. I don't do a garden, so I really don't need it.
