All the red on my SO76 has now been sprayed. I need to paint the rear wheels, and figure out how to restore the fiberglass hood and paint it. My goal is the 4th of July parade, but I don't know that it will happen, as I have to install the motor and rewire it.
At least the red is painted. |

Good to hear you got it running great... Now can you come up here and fix mine? It has running problems. with the carb open about an eight of the way... it just runs away, like way past 3600 RPM. I put a new carb on it, and I still have the EXACT same problem. I am getting a small engine guy to come take a look. he is a good friend... so it wont cost anything! unless he needs parts

Today, I graded the driveway back into shape with the 582 and grader blade. I re-plated some 'oops' bolts that I screwed up last night. They look much better now. Tomorrow, I'll get the 782D out of winter storage and get it mowing again...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
