Great platform, and it can become an expensive hoppy. Kind of like Cubs

I love 1911s and about 2 years ago my dad bought one that was built by a local gunsmith for about $2000, since then its been sitting in the safe and he never shot it. Last week he decided to give it to me which made my day because its an awesome gun with excellent fit and finish, its built with a Caspian frame and slide with Wilson combat internals. Here it is with my ruger 1911, now I just need to order some matching grips for it.

I like anything Ruger, have a #1 chambered 7mmSTW, now my second 10/22, that 1911 would be nice Im sure but Ive been eyeing a single action convertable revolver... 22LR and 22mag, you just change the cylinder. Im old so I like classic old styling. Handguns are a bit of pita in Canada but Im on a farm so I have some room to play... and the pasture has alot of gophers

Being 'American Made' often means 'Well' made so I tend to buy alot of US made stuff, I dont go looking for it, it just seems to happen alot. Keep up the Good Work
Hows the 22mag supply down there? Thats holding me back on that convertable, I cant find ammo, we get 22LR occasionally so I have a few bricks of that but I dont want to pickup the revolver until I find at least one brick of 22mag. Friend of mine was across the border a couple weeks back and checked a Cabelas but it was the same story... nothing rimfire. Basspro here has been putting sale prices on a Savage 17hmr but they dont have ammo for them, Im thinking of going with a 17rem and loading them myself, little much for a gopher that weighs 1/2 pound... but you can really reach out there, and it is fun

Got a chance to test some hand loads in my Ruger Blackhawk Bisley in 357 Mag ( no longer made in 357 in the bisley). Three old 700 page books taped together, about 4 3/4" thick total @ 15 yards, all the way through with decent expansion as the back book was ripped up pretty good. Think I've found a load I like

What powder did you use? ( don't post the actual load -- Ruger revolvers are built stronger than some of the other manufacturers )

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
