Thanks everyone. Hope to try it out in the next couple of days. This deck was not on this tractor for some time. The PO said he never used it. Should be interesting getting it setup. Looking forward to it

I was really pleasantly surprised at how robust it is and I like how it was all put together. I have never worked on a CUB deck before but I found it pretty intuitive. Very happy with the experience.

Yes those early decks were very beefy.. also very interesting design but pleasant to work on!

Well I got it mounted and as you can see from the grass on the deck that it works. It was a fun exercise getting the drive belt on.

I need some guidance on adjustment. It is out of level left to right by about 1/2 inch and the same front to back. I have the two eyebolt links on the front as high as they will go. That is annoying but the left to right bothers me more. I measure the two arms when lowered down a couple notches for reference as shown in the picture. The difference between left and right arms to the bottom of the frame is between 1/8 and 1/16 so the problem is with the frame I guess. On other decks I have worked on one side is adjustable, but these are both fixed.

The only thing I can think off doing is somehow shiming the pin on the one side to accommodate for this.

Looking for some advise. I will not be using this for my mower, but I'd like to get it closer. Thanks

One other question. Usually you set the gauge wheels about 1/2 above the ground. Is that the same for these or do these ride on the rear gauge wheels? Because if I let it ride on the wheels it would level out on its own.

I always let the deck ride on the gauge wheels.

that gives you a pretty short cut even with the gauge wheels all the way down right? How about the front eyelets?

Clearly that would eliminate my problem.

Can't you put a adjuster on the one side?
When I use my tractors for cutting, the gauge wheels are on the ground, more than off. I know "they" say they shouldn't be, but that's how I roll.
