Well my wife had to do some stuff for her work back home, so I tagged along to spend time with a good friend and fellow Cub nut.
I got to spend a few hours on his 123 moving some clay and dirt around on our RC Dirt oval/off road track we have at my Mother-in-laws.. Well, I worked while he flew his 129 :biggrin2.gif: Had a blast! I cannot believe what that thing would do with that blade!! I see a 122 in my near future for sure (yes I'm a gear head)

After mowing last night, I took out my sons soccer cones and set up an obstacle course for the kids to practice manuevering the tractor through. Sure was fun to watch. Even my 3 year old did a little of it (with my very, very, close supervision).

Mowing with the 149
Been working for about 3 weeks trying to get the deck and all related parts on the 149. Got most of it when i bought the tractor but this is the first time i have ever had it all on and working. Lot of worn parts and bent up pieces that needed fixed. This was also my first P.T.O. rebuild. The previous owner had tried to drill out the old set screws and ruined the pulley. But after getting a new pulley off of Chris Westfall I got it on and working. Its a 42" deck and cuts really well. I used it for several hours today.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
