Thanks sam. Got them loosely set on the tractor today. Paint leaves a lot to be desired but it works.

Also cleaned the gas tank inside and out. Pulled the shut-off valves and they were both full of this thissley stuff, i'm guessing old grass clippings, i disassembled them and plugged one end and blew through the other. They both were very clogged.

Yep, every one I've worked on needed to be cleaned. I use a drill bit to clean them out. Gotta wonder how they even run. New tank bushings, new hose, new filter and clean the shut off valves is just standard procedure for me now on a Cyclops. Well done my friend.

Got a few things done this weekend all new fuel lines and filter, Sam Mac gave me some tips to eliminate my carb solenoid needle. And now things seem to run tip top. Also tried some PlastiX that I read about in another thread and have pics of the results, I am impressed with this product.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
