I finally got the deck welded up and adjusted and cut grass for the first time with my $200 682 CCC. Not a bad cutting machine. Steers easier than my JD with power steering. Engine runs flawlessly; could not be happier.

I spent a good part of the weekend sanding and priming all the pieces for the snow cab for my 1872. It was pretty rusty in places. One more weekend of decent temps ( above 60) and I'll have it painted cub yellow to match the rat rod paint job on my tractor. Sorry but no pics yet.

I went and visited a friend yesterday and came home with a QA42A thrower and a 42" push blade that were setup for 82 series tractors. looks like the 982 can sit in the warm basement this year qwhen we get a bunch of snow.

Had the "O" out today to clean up the leaves one last time before the white stuff. Plus I couldn't wait to use the cart. Figured while I had it out I would get a couple more pictures before I put it away. Man I love the looks of that cart.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
