Dad's 782 that he bought for $100. Needed a seat (hence uncomfortable Kubota seat) and a starter. Currently smoking like a chimney, but still running.

Dad's 125 that I am on in my profile picture. It has a 105 dash because he bought it after someone rolled it in a ditch. Bent steering wheel. (hood can only be opened if wheel is in a certain spot.) Bolt on mule drive from a 100 because a PO cut off the quick hitch. Rear AGS because the only way it'll mow up the front hill on turf is with chains. Still a great machine.

Both of them together.

Thanks

My newly painted and pretty much gone through 1250.....with the help and resources of this forum. Thank you.

Well a few more things to do to it. Needs the decals, matching fronts tires to the back, steering stud could use replaced, need the thumb screws instead of bolts, and could use a new ignition as some times it's quirky. It's got some nasty rust between two of the terminals I can't get at.. And I think I want the foot plates powder coated.

My decks (not shown) roached but it's usable for a couple more seasons I guess. It's pretty solid but it's got all kinds of plates welded to it to so best to find a new one.

Appreciate all the many threads and being able to learn from so many for this project.

Sweet 1250! Order your decals from Maple Hunter of Texas as they have the correct color blue for the QL decals.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
