Good to hear, as I will eventually try .035... I have about half a spool of the original HF brand left, but I think I will continue to use it up, and just grind my 'not the best' looking beads down, until it's gone.

I had a choice of 2 different wire's from the same company. One was $ 9.98 & the other was $ 19.98 both .035 wire. I found an expert at the place who told me what the difference was & to go for the BETTER wire, he said that I'll notice the difference right off.
Well with my 40min. of ever welding with the unit I indeed noticed a smooooth flow as compared to the cheap wire that came with the unit & the wire my friend gave me. He gave me this wire cause he also went with the better $$ wire. Less splater & less junk to chip away. So, as an end result its well worth it in my humble opinion. Sorta you get what you pay for.

I would?
But the cost for me does NOT JUSTIFY my 5 welding projects. Heck im ahead of the game in that I dont have to haul my projects to a welding place, & prob., never have to use a welder again. Im a TOTAL NEWBIE with this stuff. : Nik,

I'll tell ya wat. i bought my welder from HF and its done wonders for me. its saved many of my mowers from being parted out (not cubs), ive fixed my decks on my cubs with it and it does great. i found out if ya use Hobart flux wire in it they weld a bit better. I used it to make my weight bracket on my 86 for when i pull my plow and when i mounted my winch on my trailer. good welder for the price. im satisfied with it

I normally try to buy really good tools. I've found that they pay for themselves in longevity and ease of use. I'm very much a welding amateur, but I've had and occasionally used a Sears 240A stick welder for 35 years. Departing from that wisdom, I bought the HF 90A unit based on suggestions here. It works OK. Needing another welder for the other shop, I decided to try a better unit, so I got a Hobart 140 Handler reman unit. (~$400 from Amazon, free shipping). Added a bottle of 25%CO2 ($200) and this unit is sweet. Nice clean beads, almost no spatter, no porosity. what a difference $500 makes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
