After talking with the guy who owns the plow and doing some measuring we determined the length and weight balance of the plow would not allow it to work on a cub. The cub would not be able to pick it up effectively. I believe if you drafted it shallow the cub could pull it but it wouldn't be usable because you couldn't pick it up at the end of the row. It could be cut down and made into two single bottom plows but that defeats the purpose for me.I can buy it for $25 so I might still get it just for a yard ornament for the garden.

Maybe a Cub wouldn't pick it up, but, I would bet it would.
No way that thing weighs over 400 pounds. Especially if you remove the smaller plow. A little frame mod on that plow and you could lift it. Definitely, you would only want to pull the larger one.

CAD, I agree the cub could pick it up but the design of the plow is long with a high back and that sets the center of gravity to far back for a cub. I think you wouldn't be able to keep the front wheels down and there a lot of stress on the cub frame. If I could lower the CG and shorten the plow it would work. Im no engineer so maybe some of the smart guys can give some thoughts

With the right set of torches, welder and scrap iron the plow could easly be made to work behind and IH Cub Cadet.
The smaller of the 2 moldboards would work on most manual lift cubs cadets. The larger one could be made to fit a 3-point and would easy to control depth of cut. It all depends on how much time and money you have and how good you are at modifying to meet your needs.

Cutting it apart defeats what I wanted. I wanted to keep the double plow look. I don't have the equipment to do that kind of mods.

Thanks Duke,I was hoping to just put a 3pt from xtreme on this one and make it work. Keep it original except the 3pt since its IH to go with my supers.
