450 blower mount
If I use a bolt it would have to have a 1/2 thread on the end and by the head a 3/4 thread or the undercarriage would be loose . the tapered pin with threads under the head like the picture is what I need to hold the under carriage tight .
I guess I will just drill out the nuts thanks |

But it does show them in the 450 install kit.
Does the threaded part screw into the frame or the bracket?

The threaded part screws into the blower bracket and the tapered end SHOULD go into the frame ,,,But it cant because the nut in the frame is only a 1/2 hole

I hope the OP was able to solve their issue with those mount pins/holes.
But FWIW for anyone else looking to solve the same issue, the manual I have instructs the following: "NOTE: On 1986 and prior production models of 1572 (710), 1872 (720), 1912 (982), 1914 (986), and 2072 (730 and 731) tractors, it is necessary to drill out the weld nut, which is inside the frame, using an 11/16" bit, in order to attach the quick pins." Drill baby, drill. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
