I was thinking of this same thing when I built the tool bar for my hilling discs. Can you provide some more close up photos and one when the tool bar is lifted (I'd like to see the clearance).

Thanks!

I will have to get it out and hook it up for your pics. Not a big deal just need some time. I did leave a lot of room for adjustments. It can go much higher. The rake will go either way in the mount. short tines down and longest setting on the hitch lift will dig about 1.5 inches down. It also has the longer hitch that Jeff in PA made for me. which helped. I was using the shorter lift pin. Using the longer I can get more range. Oh, I can also flip the brinley mount if I needed a low mount. Will try to get some pics this weekend and measure range of lift which is what you really need.

How if this. I have more down than it shows. Showed about 3/4 inch on the cylinder. Oh, ignore the angles at the top. I was working on a rack for the back today.

Thanks for the pics.

I've thought about using unistrut square tube or similar with holes already punched and then 12" spike nails for the rake. I doubt it would hold up to frozen ground but likely would be nice for light grading in the garden.

Spikes would be more durable than my 1/2 rod. I wanted to go that route but could not find any.
Unistrut is pretty light weight and I think would twist. So may not move much material. Which means it will bend up darn quick behind your machine. I had also thought about using the over-sized garden rake. But had material and a drill press so knocked it out. I am overall pleased with the results on mine. Might have gone further apart on the tines. But width needs is all about the dirt/grass or whatever I am moving at the time. If we get icy hard snow in my neighborhood, it may get to play in that too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
