What a travesty. I can't believe someone would treat their equipment like that. That thing needs some TLC and deserves a better owner. Hope you save it.

Wow, that will clean up nice. It even still has the plastic piece above the muffler on the side panel. Most of the ones I have seen that piece is broken off. Good luck and I hope you get it!

Thanks everyone. I will be going to pick it up after 12:00 today. The tilt trailer I am going to use isn't wide enough to fit the tractor with the mower deck on it. How difficult is it to get the deck off? Does it come off the same way as my 882? It looks verry heavy, I'm going to have to pick it up and put in the back of my Superduty with a 6" lift and 35" tires(definatly will need someone to help). I will be stopping at the pressure washer on the way home to clean it up a bit. As soon as it is off the trailer it's getting a full checkup to acess the condition of it. I can't wait, it's going to be a long couple of hours waiting to go pick it up. Once I get it home I'm sure I will have lots of questions and I will post more pics.

Why, why, why do people leave stuff outside like that. She'll probably clean up ok. Nice cub. What's the tiller look like? I think alot of the cyclops only had single hydraulics. Most I've seen are singles. My 1782 has single hydraulics. Can't wait till you bring it home.

You're going to want to bring a jack to get that deck off, it won't be very easy. It looks like it's about buried in weeds. Your best bet is to jack the front of the tractor up high enough to slide the deck out from under it. As far as loading it into the back of the truck...ummm...like you said, better have help Those decks aren't known for there lightweight construction. Good luck!

Not to get off topic, but I just checked and it doesn't show you are too far away from me. Mind if I ask where you're picking the tractor up? And if it turns out you need some hands-on help with this machine, shoot me a PM. It'd have to be a weekend but I'm sure we could work something out

That is very heavy, like 3 persons to lift it heavy. Getting off a non runner will be a challenge. Plan on jacking up the front so that you can slide it under the front tires. I'd try to get the mule drive out from under the tractor if you can. Jack it up and block under the front wheels to give you some clearance.

You are correct you are not all that far from me. I am getting the tractor from about 5 miles from my house. Thanks for the offer I will keep you in mind. Thanks!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
