The 1811 is a newer version of the 782 Garden Tractor.

I am aware of that, but thank you for telling me. I hope to get one some day.
Okay I am not being very clear what Im trying to ask. When you go to Ford to buy a truck you can buy a Ranger, F150, F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, Etc. What I am asking is was the model 1811 like the F150. Was every other tractor model that was higher then a 1811 a Super Cub? |

Nope..1812 and 1512 are not supers (I'm considering the 1512 superior to the 1812 because of the diesel engine).
The supers in that series are the 1572/1772/1872/2072. |

For me........Basically the Supers have these features..
* 20 HP or greater * Longer wheel base * Have 26" rear tires * Usually individual rear brakes There are more distinctive features and some exceptions. But the above are the basics. In the Ford Truck comparison, the Ranger, F150, F250, & etc are based upon carrying weight, Cubs are based on HP. The higher the HP, the greater the tractor and features.

Are you sure that's an 1812 and not an 1811? The 1812 has the front outlets, and the 1811 does not.

They are all hydrostatic drive with hydraulic lift. Some have front outlets as well.
Actually, part of that post you are quoting is incorrect. The 1572, 1772, 1872, and 1882 all have less than 20 hp. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
