Sorry for your loss DW! if it were me I would keep the tractor,if it were mine. I have to many memories to let it go if I could fix it. Bearings ,seals, engines, and tires can be replaced memories cannot. The deck is toast,you might be able to straighten the bar on the mower,hope you can. The rest prob can be sand blasted and repainted,I hope anyways. Sorry for your loss hope you can save some of it.

So sorry to hear about what happened! I would have it sandblasted, and repainted. You can't replace memories!

So True! That's why I am restoring my Grandfathers Cub now, It tracked it down after about 30 years and found his original one and bought it back from the owner. Now I am restoring it for my dad, You definitely cannot replace memories!

Devastating to say the least.

I'm far from being any type of pro, but wouldn't all metal parts still be useable? Or being restorable? I would think that besides the paint being removed, metal is still solid? I am just being optimistic.?????

Sorry for your loss & now the fighting with the insurance Co., will be a challenge in- itself.

By the looks of the burn patterns from the pics and the patterns present, I would say that that fire got pretty hot, unfortunately hot enough to melt the internal structure of the metal, compromising its integrity. The Cast iron is probably fine and same with the thicker pieces of steel but cheap pieces of thin stuff may not have made it. I wish you all the best... I would probably restore it... even if its not running
