I had a CH22 that I was positive that it had carb issues. rebuilt the carb. Didn't fix it. Bought a new carb, didn't fix. Pulled the blower shield and found one of the coils had insulation starting to leak out of it. This engine also had the electronic spark advance known as SAM. took all of it off and put 2 new regular coils on no more problem.

Put it on a motor plate, clamp it to my bench hook it up and fire it up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently.
