Got to spend a few hours on the 2072 today was kind of an adventure.Just getting it off my truck it was a bucking bronco. So I took off the side covers and fender pan looked things over pretty well. The driveshaft was good and tight as well as the trans mounts were not broken.Found the trunion not worn but the inner spring broken and the outside one worn.I had a set of ''good'' used ones to try in it and really made a big difference.I finished up the day giving it a quick once over to knock the worst crud off but was kinda cold out there to tell the truth.Well enough of me going on I took a few pics hope you guys enjoy them.

Tractor supply does sell insulated boots and thermals, that way you can spend more time working on the Cadets in the winter

Seriously, glad the springs were the trouble. You're going to love that machine. It gets even better if you have neighbors with green ones

Well I finally got some time and good weather at the same time to do some work on the 2072.I had tucked some parts away for it ,new ignition switch, headlight bulbs, misc.nuts and bolts someone had seen fit to leave off. So,not perfect by any means but for a summer yard worker I think it will be just fine.I also pressure washed the mule drive and deck for future use but first the Haban blade goes on.I have some dirty work to do, I'll try and get a few pics when that happens.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
