Default 12 v fuel pump

I have installed four of these pumps from this same guy in the last two years. Three on JD 318's and one on my CC 1811. It comes with all the possible fittings and a filter. I can understand people wanting a good pump but think about it. You are on a mower going 8 mph. Not exactly flying a plane. The instructions say to place the pump at the same level as the tank but I haven't done that with any and they all work just fine. The one on my 1811 is five years old and the cranking is almost gone now when I start the engine. I let the pump run for about ten seconds and then turn the key. Starts right away. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-El...item35f1151526

Diesel Doctor you may be right but like I said this ain't rocket science. Some of the Chinese junk works pretty well and if I have to replace on of them in five years I still only have $40 invested total in both. We're talking about an 8 mph tractor that may need a new fuel pump someday. Not exactly a big deal. I do know that some of the Chinese electronic junk is really poor quality like their starters. But these little fuel pumps are so simple that there isn't that much to fail in them.

Yes, that's true there are some Chinese products that are a good choice in the right application. Some stuff is total crap too! Same all over the world really.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
