I'm no wiring expert, so I'll leave that to others. The engine surging I'd start with flushing the fuel system and some fresh gas. Then go from there.

Next time I "check" a fuse I guess I'm going to get my meter out. It was the fuse. I had a spare 10amp one for the lights and sure enough it fixed the problems....except the surge. The manual says both my fuses should be 10amp so I guess that's what I'll keep in there.
I've never had a fuse look perfect but be bad, especially a slow blow without it being melted inside. Like I said before the last time it was surging it was a wiring issue at the voltage regulator, I was hoping that would be the case this time but those wires look good. I'll have to take a closer look at that area. Thanks for the help. |

Burnt wires and/or terminals are usually one of two things, or a combination thereof.
* Excessive Loads (High Amperage) * Poor Connections (Loose or High Resistance) I would be examining the situation once the new parts are installed.
