Post a picture of the valve. My 1572 did that when I got it. The fuel filters were stopped up. Replaced both of them and that corrected the issue.

Unfortunately it started doing it again after a little while. The only thing I have not replaced is the valve in the tank. I figure the return one is fine so I just have the supply one and two grommets on order, should be here Saturday.
Attached is a picture of the old filter housing valve. |

A new valve arrived and it made it worse. The old valve looked like it had signs of the screen getting sucked in so I was hopeful the new valve would work. It had a metal screen but even as I was bleeding out the system it did not seem like it was flowing good enough.
I decided that there was plenty of filtration in the system and took the screen off the old valve and cleaned out the inside with a Dremel. I figure the port and polish job is good for another .001 HP! I did not get to run it to long, but it seems to have fixed it. fingers crossed. |

Have you cleaned out the tank? I would see what is floating around in the bottom. Debris may have been collecting around the mesh.

I did clean out the tank. I have had that happen to me with a BX1500. Would run great for days or weeks at a time and then suddenly stall out and have no power. The tank was clean but I decided to flush it out anyway. Found one small leaf in the tank. I figured it would float around harmlessly until it got close to the fuel line and then get sucked over it and kill the engine but would not get sucked into the line or be damaged. Then when you let the tractor sit it would float away to the other side of the tank. Maybe that leaf is why I got a good deal on the tractor from the PO....
Anyway, I was able to run the 1572 for a while this morning bringing firewood up to the house getting ready for the weather here in Maryland and it ran great. I am confident it is fixed now. Thanks!!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
