That is indeed the correct spot from what I could find. They do sell the proper push-pull switches, I saw a few of them when I looked it up.

Seems the only good lead I could find was from CC Specialties, $56 is a lot more than I expected for one but they are there.
https://www.ccspecialties.org/electrical.html You'll have to scroll down quite a bit to find them

$56? Ok it's the marine pull switch then and I can turn a more correct knob on the lathe.
Dumb question, this tractor has a key that is ON when turned left. Right is OFF. BUT, the key only can be removed out when it's on. Think it's faulty? Is it original?

I would send a switch to ya if I could figure out how to get it off the parts machine...
Something is definitely off with that switch. If you can only remove the key when it's in the On position, somethings definitely not right. Probably best to get that replaced.

appreciate that thought 107!
I'll dig one up. I think these must have had had a only OFF-ON (no start no accessory) switch. Be nice to find an off-on-accessory one with no starter position so the lights cant be left on. But probably dont make them like that. Of course the Start position could be used for a horn LOL

I do believe that with the stock light setup the lights would remain on even when the engine isn't running, the cubs are too old for anything fancy to keep the lights off when the engine is off. Even so, it'll be pretty slick to have lights without the stock light switch

Oh I just meant the lights would be on ACC (and ON) position, so even if I left the light switch on, turning the key off would also kill the lights. I wouldnt want them to come on with the key because need that power to start the engine.
BTW really havent found a "good" U1 size battery (except maybe an Odyssey for $$$). Thats why since the 123 needs the battery tray redone, I'll make it a car battery size and can run an AGM. This 100 got a "Traveller" battery from TSC for $45 with 90 day warranty, hope it holds up!

Now that makes sense. If you left those lights on overnight your battery would be completely dead. I actually left my 106's light on overnight once and she still fired up no problem (but like I said before, my LED lights draw a LOT less power).
For batteries, my 106 and 107 both run a Walmart brand "Everstart" Lawn and Garden battery, with 350 CCA's. Biggest Lawn and Garden battery that Walmart's got. They seem to work fine unless you leave them half-charged and it gets real cold. I did some service a couple weeks ago to the 107 that involved cranking it over a bunch but not starting it, leaving the battery not fully charged. Then the cold hit it and killed it. Swapped it out with a smaller 230 CCA battery of the same brand that was fully charged and despite the less power she still fired right up. And even after sitting a few days in the coldish weather, I went out tonight and that same battery still had good charge. But if there's ever one thing I'll never understand about batteries, it's the warranties...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
