Other side of the bay. Did I mention that I hate the beltway? Felt like the old days on the Long Island Expressway driving out to the Bridgehampton race track.

Got them unloaded and checked out the 1572. Looks like I have major problems with the 1572, one of the hydro check valves leaks and one tail light needs a new bulb. Not sure I can handle it.
One odd thing, I have never seen a 60” Haban without front wheels. Also every one I’ve ever seen has the grease fittings in the center of the spindle; these are extended out from the side of the bearing housings. It is a Cub deck and still has the tag on it. The 1772 could be saved but honestly I don’t think it’s worth it. I may change my mind. It needs a rear and a pump. I just happen to have one all rebuilt and ready to go. It also needs some front axle parts and a drive shaft and a fender pan. Those I don’t have. I’ll post some pics of the 1772 later. It’s sitting on the surgery table at the moment.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
