front rims size for 4.00-8 tires
I have the 16-6-50 8 tires on the front, and would like to replace with the 480-8 tri-ribs. I've seen a photo of the tri-ribs on my current rims and I'm not a fan. What size rim am I looking for and where would I find it? I don't even have it running yet, but the front tires are so rotted they won't hold air, so it will it least make it look better while I am pushing it around my garage.

This is the blade that I picked up with it. I thought it was homemade when I first looked at it. It's pretty rusted on the wearplate from sitting on/in the ground for some time.

I think so..My better half still has her reservations..lol I did get it started, but it knocked hard, so shut it down and will probably have to wait a while before getting very deep in it. My grandson is only 5 months old, so I have a little time before he can use it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
