I sometimes wondered if it all was worth it but after adapting the cab to my 1872 without and cutting, welding or drilling holes in either the cab or tractor I think it was a good trip. Check out the thread in the implements and attachments section for pictures of how I adapted the 782 GT cab to the super.

That's a really sturdy looking cab.
You'll be The Master of Snow from that vantage point!

This post made me chuckle to myself. I was going to do something very very similar to what you WERE going to do...have an 1811 with no engine, 450 blower, GT Cozy Cab(took me 2 years to find a decent one), and a GT2550 with a 23hp Command to use as an engine donor to power it all. Just waiting for the time and ambition to put it all together.
THEN I found a very nice SGT Sims cab for my 2072...decided to buy it, and mount the Sims cab and 450 blower on the 2072, and sell the Cozy cab and GT2550. Just recently sold the GT Cozy cab. Before I advertised it I took a few measurements to see how close it would come to fitting one of my supers, googled it to see if anyone had tried it but found nothing. So down the road it went. Glad to see someone make it work!! Enjoy your cab! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
