Thank you for pointing that out. I did notice that when I put it back together, guess things work out that way sometimes.
Thanks,
Brad

If your dealer can't find the part numbers he is about as useful as tits on a bull. Find a new dealer or learn to look up parts on the Cub parts site and order them yourself.

Ditto's on that Sam!!
Was going to say the same thing.
MY impression is they would rather sell you a new machine and not have to mess with this old stuff!
#1 because they know nothing and could care less about the early Cubs and
2nd because they don't WANT to know about them.

Unfortunately that's not too suprising in today's world. The first parts guy I talked to was pretty helpful and good to work with. The second time when I called about the bearing I got a different person. While he was decent and all you see where I got with him. And he was the older of the two people. Oh well, that dealership has been pretty good to us on most things in the past. Plus, it's about two miles from the farm so it's easy to stop in and take care of business. If I had driven 20 miles to get there I'd be more upset. I'll just know to keep my options open from now on. I really appreciate all the help you guys gave me.
Thanks again,
Brad

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
